The ICC will be held on 15th to 16th September at Central Hall Westminster, London. This event follows on from the huge success of the inaugural ICC 2008, which attracted the largest ever paying Chinese business delegation to London.

The ICC will not only facilitate the opportunity to network, but as the economic climate changes and the view from western firms turns east, prominent Chinese policy makers and business leaders will be leading informative sessions for western firms to learn about private equity in China, how to enter the newly opened world of financial services in China, the legal regulations for financial services in China, the international investment approaches of China’s public funds, and the intricacies and effects of the Anti-Monopoly Enforcement Authority. In addition there will be a closed door CEO’s lunch and panel session looking at ‘Taking the Politics of M & A’. This session will be led by Long Yongtu and feature Xiong Weiping, Chairman of Chinalco, together with a number of leading Western CEO’s. Attendance at this lunch and working group will be by invitation only.

Last year, over 150 Chinese key business executives and industry leaders from a wide spectrum of sectors attended the ICC, listening to world-leading speakers from finance and participating in a number of in-depth roundtable debates. In addition, more than 300 one-to-one meetings took place between Chinese delegates and financial services, creating a unique platform for business generation between the Chinese guests and their western counterparts.

The 2009 ICC event will attract over 200 Chinese delegates and will focus on the post-credit crunch opportunities for Chinese companies for global expansion, as well as the opportunities for Western companies as Chinese financial markets continue to open up to foreign entities.
