Ian Fay offers clients extensive experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sectors, combining an in-depth understanding of the industry with over 16 years of mergers and acquisitions expertise within the corporate finance groups of several global investment banks. Over the course of his career, Mr. Fay has advised over 130 companies and contributed to transactions totaling over $3.5 Billion in value.

Ian is currently a Founding Partner of Odin Advisors LLC, a full service mergers and acquisitions advisory boutique based in New York City which has advised leading companies and strategic and financial investors in the Energy & Natural Resources sectors since its inception in January 2009. Other notable positions Mr. Fay has held over his extensive career in investment banking include Managing Director and Head of the Energy & Natural Resources Group|Americas for BNP Paribas. He served as Managing Director of mergers and acquisitions for RBC Capital Markets, concentrating on North American Upstream, MLP and Oil Field Services companies. Mr. Fay also advised multi-national public and private clients across multiple sectors as Director of mergers and acquisitions for UBS Investment Bank. Prior to UBS, Ian was a Vice President in the mergers and acquisitions group at Prudential Securities, Inc., and an Associate at Rothschild Inc., where he focused on cross-border mergers, acquisitions and restructurings.

In addition, Ian’s invaluable experience encompasses a variety of transaction types, including exclusive sales, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, restructurings, valuations, fairness opinions and other general advisory work for public and private clients in the Energy, Natural Resources, Power & Utility, Consumer Products, Retail, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Media, Technology and General Industrial sectors.

A recipient of the prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholarship, Ian is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Fay currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
