Richard C. Nordvold is the Chief Financial Officer of Griffin International Companies, a consumer products sales and marketing enterprise headquartered in Minneapolis, with offices in New York, Bentonville, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. Griffin International sources and markets its own brands of consumer electronics and video game accessories to leading national retailers, and also provides in-depth product sourcing, sales and marketing services to several other well-known consumer brands.

Previously, Nordvold served as Chief Financial Officer of Minneapolis-based Golf Galaxy, a national specialty golf retailer, where he oversaw the company’s 2005 initial public offering, and the company’s 2007 merger with Pittsburgh-based Dick’s Sporting Goods. Prior to joining Golf Galaxy, Mr. Nordvold spent six years at Minneapolis-based Best Buy, serving in various management roles including Director of Corporate Finance and Director of Corporate development where he managed the company’s merger and acquisition activities and capital markets functions. Mr. Nordvold began his career at Arthur Andersen where he spent six years, most recently as Manager of Audit and Business Advisory Services.

Mr. Nordvold has also served as an advisor and board member to several entrepreneurial growth companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Minneapolis-based STYLEDLIFE, and the Advisory Board of Minneapolis-based tuitionXPress, and has served on the Boards of Directors of Minneapolis-based Turn Style and New York-based Partsearch Technologies. He is also past Chairman of the Board of St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Mr. Nordvold received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He currently resides in Chaska, Minnesota with his wife and three children.
