Current Enviroment conducive to integration focus

One positive result of the tepid M&A environment of the past 12-18 months is that more folks are thinking about integration-as no one can afford to lose any value post acquisition.

A couple of years ago integration focus was an afterthought given the frothy deal market-what a difference between now and then!

We are encouraged that folks are paying more attention to integration details, which is good news for shareholders, stakeholders and anyone else affected by a merger or acquisiiton.

The number one reason cited for deals not realizing their planned value is still "failure to properly plan for integration challagnes"-let's hope that stat goes away this year for good.
