Interesting Article, BNET: "Don't Be Another M & A Failure"

http://www.bnet.com/blog/business-strategy/don-8217t-be-another-m-a... "One study, by KPMG, found that 83 percent of the deals studied did not boost shareholder value and 53% actually reduced it."
One way to achieve merger success is to deliberately adopt a transparent and sustainable communication process that validates different communication styles. When organizations start off on a neutral, level playing field, it is much more likely that they can be held accountable for merger success. In essence, the organizations don’t just hope that people will adopt a common culture, they proactively build the common culture: “you have people on your team who have great relationship skills and who want to navigate the bigger, larger place where they now work.” Case studies of merger success can be seen at http://www.lawrenceresearchassociates.com/news%20articles/Speeding_...
